I'm Alive! (Or Paper Chef #23 nominations open)
OK - I know nobody was worried, but it HAS been a long time since I last posted. And once again, it is guilt that makes me. I love the Paper Chef and I have neglected it sorely. I think last month was the first month I have missed one without even a notice of what was going on...
Anyway - this time around we are going to do a lightning set up but give people over a week to do the challenge so that more people can take part despite the rigors of a holiday season. The theme - what else - celebration!
Right now all I ask is for ingredient nominations. The current list is:
Crab, Pork, Something you or a friend grew, White wine, Sour cream, Cheddar, Mushroom, Ramen Noodles, Edible flowers, Vermouth, soda pop (any kind), frog (legs), coconut milk, wattleseed, broad/fava beans, ground meat (any kind), pomegranate, beef, lentils, ginger, maple syrup, apples, mace and something wild.
Remember - ONE nomination per person please, and keep them vaguely reasonable. Post them in comments below and I'll close nominations early Friday AM US Pacific time.
------------
On a completely different note I now have to write about onion/mango/meyer lemon chutney making; wild mushroom-black lentil loaf; a new book from Heston Blumenthal; and lots, lots more that will never get done.
